Dare To Be Daniel

Today was the second lesson in the new series D2BD (dare to be Daniel). We had 9 kids. All together 10 kids have committed into D2BD. This is awesome! D2BD is a 13 week program that encourages kids to share their faith during the week. Imagine if there 10 kids would share Jesus with one kids a week! That would be 520 kids who would hear the gospel in a year who might not ever go to church! 10+520 kids would make a big church.

D2BD meets in the youth room Sundays at 9-10:15 am and there is home work. For the 5th and 6th graders who choose not to be part of D2BD there will be regular Sunday School during all 3 services.

Fresh Start

Stanwich 5th and 6th grade Sunday School lesson this past week was about "fresh start". Preteens often give up over failures. God wants us to start over with Him. All experiences shape our lives, but knowing that God want us to start over with Him after we have failed to live according to God's high standards, truly is life-shaping.

Read the story of Peter. Jesus' love helped Peter make a fresh start as the leader of the Church.
