Winter FUN!!!!

Stanwich Rocks 5th and 6th grade Sunday School teaching team is excited to see you all glowing with God's warmth when it has been so cold outside! The morning classes are really growing through their journaling and homework tasks. Our evensong group continues to bring joy, laughter and God's light through experiments and activities.

We are so proud of you and how God is moving in your lives this year!

Just to recap our January:

Our Unit Bible Passage: James 1:22-25
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it - he will be blessed in what he does."

Lesson 5 - Doers of the Word - Learning about God's word leads us to know Him and teaches us how to obey Him.

Lesson 6 -Delights in Obedience - Wholehearted obedience results in a life of integrity.

Lesson 7 - Don't deceive yourself - Honesty in both words and actions shows integrity.

Lesson 8 - Good soil, good fruit - Valuing God's Word leads to a life of integrity.

This will wrap up our January study...but we don't want to forget all the fun we had! Many of you bonded at the Evensong retreat as well as the girls camp in Vermont this past weekend! We are excited to see what God is continuing to do in your hearts by building our church family.
